Hot of the press is news that Paolo is set to tour a country very close to his own heart.

Paolo Nutini has teamed up with The Big Ghana Band for one song on the album 'Big Swap Songs' to promote fairtrade fortnight.

An exclusive version from Paolo and the Big Ghana Band of 'Pencil Full of Lead' features on the album, alongside covers of Girls Aloud's 'Sound of The Underground' and Dead or Alive's 'You Spin Me Round'.

Fairtrade fortnight runs from the 22nd of February to the 7th of March.

Paolo Set For V Festival 2010

Paolo is already gearing up for yet another summer of great live music - and he's excited to announce yet another date for your diaries.

This time it's his confirmed appearance at 2010's V Festival in both Stafford and Chelmsford.

Paolo will hit the main stage with a full band and a pocket full of sunshine on Saturday 21st August in Stafford and on Sunday 22nd August in Chelmsford.

New Live EP Available Digitally Now

Calling all stateside Paolo fans - Paolo has paid homage to New Orleans' historic Preservation Hall with a new live EP, available now, only in the US.

The four-track EP features renditions of songs originally found on the Scottish-born troubadour’s acclaimed second album, 'SUNNY SIDE UP'.

A very special Limited Edition of the EP will be made available for physical release on April 17th in honor of "Record Store Day," the annual celebration of the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the USA, and hundreds of similar stores internationally.

Paolo To Play T In The Park

Paolo has today been confirmed to play at this year's T in the Park, a triumphant return after last year's amazing scenes on the main stage.

Paolo To Feature On Fairtrade Album With Cadbury's Dairy Milk

Paolo has collaborated with African superstars The Big Ghana Band to create a new version of his hit 'Pencil Full Of Lead' for a new album being released to celebrate Fairtrade Fortnight.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs from February 22nd to March 8th and the album, entitled 'Big Swap Songs' is being released to thank all those who buy Fairtrade products during the two weeks.

It not only features Paolo but also covers of Girls Aloud's first single 'Sound of the Underground' and 'One Day Like' this by Brit Award winners Elbow plus lots lots more.

Speaking about the song and Fairtrade, Paolo said: "Fairtrade is a brilliant initiative and it's great that people can get a free album as a reward for swapping to Fairtrade products.

"The Big Ghana Band and I have done a brilliant new version of 'Pencil Full of Lead' to celebrate the fortnight which is on the Cadbury Dairy Milk’s album – I hope everyone likes it."

The album is released on Glass and a Half Full Records and is available for free from www.cadburymusic.com or from your local newsagents in the second week of Fairtrade Fortnight.

Paolo Strikes It Lucky At The Meteors

Paolo was unlucky not to collect an award at the Brits on Tuesday, but last night in Dublin he collected the METEOR Award for Best International Album for "Sunny Side Up' in Dublin.

The competition was as stiff as it gets; Lady GaGa, Florence & The Machines, Kasabian, and Mumford & Sons were all nominated too. But Paolo won through and was presented with his gong by Irish superstar Colin Farrell.

Paolo was also nominated for Best International Male but that went to Canadian singer Michael Buble - who beat Paolo, Bruce Springsteen, Morrissey, and Jay-Z to the title.

Paolo said afterwards "Happy days! Shame though I perfected my gratious losers face after Tuesday night and really didn't expect this. Thanks Ireland."
Paolo To Headline The Evolution Weekender

Paolo has today been confirmed to headline the Evolution Weekender in Gateshead this summer.

The two day festival takes place in over the weekend of May 30-31 and Paolo will be closing the first night at Spillers Wharf.
